FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
What kinds of things does Support By Recycling collect?
We’re happy to accept a broad variety of clothing, household and electronic items, provided that they can fit into our bins.
- Used clothing (adult, kids, footwear, outerwear, maternity, etc.)
- Used household items (lighting, area rugs, accessories, etc.)
- Used electronics (old cell phones, computers, radios, CD players, etc.)
Why haven’t I heard of your company?
Well, for one, Support By Recycling is new. And we’re purposely moving slowly to make sure we do things right. Our advertising plan is entirely Word of Mouth, and that’s how we like it. It keeps our costs, puts revenue in your pocket and keeps us honest – we want you to talk about us because we earned your trust, and are doing a good job. We don’t even have an answering service. Our partners receive our personal cell phone numbers and can call us direct whenever they need us.
What happens to the stuff you collect?
Everything collected Support By Recycling goes on to another purpose. Some items are sold to local thrift stores, while others go to customers who deliver it to places like Haiti, Africa, and other foreign countries in need of used clothing. Items that have outlived their original purpose are recycled in bulk. We will never drop any product in landfills, nor sift through items for personal gain.
Who else is doing this?
While there are numerous companies that drop collection bins anywhere and speak vaguely about supporting a non-profit, we know of no other companies that deals personally and directly with churches, communities and religious organizations that pay them in advance and make them partners. Support By Recycling puts our money up front to build the involvement of the organization and to show our good faith.
